Our Ministries

Worship & Music

At St. Andrew’s we enjoy a diversity of worship experiences and music. We share communion several times a year with intinction being used at our 9am service. We carefully plan many meaningful services for special occasions throughout the year and often thematic services when appropriate. The congregation enjoys playful children’s stories and also dramatic readings. There is considerable openness to try new things and all ages are welcome to take part in our worship. Throughout the year we also offer evening services for Presbytery, for those who are grieving, Taize and prayer and more.

Adult Bible Study Group

Studying the bible in a small group, of 6-12 people, is a more intimate setting to develop a sense of community, build relationships, and to deepen our walk with God. Interested participants are asked to sign up at the Welcome Centre. For information regarding each group call the Church Office at 705-325-5183.

Currently the following groups meet for Bible study during the year and then break for the summer.

  • Weekly Bible Study is available Thursday mornings at the Seniors’ Centre, as listed in our Calendar.
  • ‘Bible & Brew’ meet at a local restaurant on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. This unique opportunity to ponder God & the world with others is set in a casual atmosphere for adults. Visit our Facebook page for more information.

Seasonal Studies and Series

In addition to Bible Studies that run each week, we often offer 6 week studies each Winter and Fall. Often the series is thematic or about a particular book in the Bible. Recently, we ran a study on the Book of Revelation, for example. Other studies might be based on how to find meaning in life or how to handle crises or on what the Bible has to say about Family. If you watch our home page and our church calendar, the series is often advertised there.
