Presbyterians baptize children because we believe that event signifies that God’s Spirit is engaged in the life of a child even before they can comprehend or name such activity.  We also offer baptism for adults who have come to know Christ and want to serve Christ in their daily lives.  Baptism is usually carried out once the family of a child or the adult seeking baptism has demonstrated a commitment to serving Christ.
